It’s the weekend and I know a lot of you guys came here in search of the perfect soundtrack for a boozy night of regrettable decisions. Nah, just kidding. You’re at home listening to Queen Latifa records and looking at pictures of cats on the Internet aren’t you? It’s okay. I’ve got your back. Light up some incense (or whatever) and que up this track from Slow Dakota.
For three minutes the Indiana natives take you on a ride that kinda plays out like the dramatic structure of an adventure film. After solemn piano chords set up the introduction, thick drums kick in and carry you through a cheerful rising action before all hell breaks loose two minutes in. We’ll call that the climax, I guess. I don’t know. I took one film class back in Sophomore year of college and I only pretend like I know what I’m talking about. Anyway, after finishing this song you might feel like you didn’t completely waste a Saturday night. Maybe. Cheers!
